Privacy Notice
A plain description of what this website actually does with information, based on how the site is built today.
Information you choose to provide
This website has no account system, no login and no customer database. The only information Cedar receives is what you choose to type and send: typically your name, your contact number and a description of the service you want.
Enquiries open in WhatsApp
The enquiry form on the contact page does not email or store anything on this website. It assembles the details you have typed into a WhatsApp message and opens WhatsApp for you. Nothing is sent until you press send inside WhatsApp, and you can read and edit the message first. Once sent, the conversation is held in WhatsApp and on Cedar's phone, and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
The same applies to the WhatsApp buttons throughout the site: they open a pre-written message that you can change or discard.
Telephone and social links
Calling the salon or opening Cedar's Instagram, Facebook or TikTok pages takes place on those platforms, not on this website. Those services collect their own information according to their own policies.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own, and there is no third-party analytics or advertising script installed in the site code. Basic technical request information may be recorded by the hosting platform to serve pages and keep the site running, as is normal for any website.
Embedded content
The contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find the salon, and web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When those load, your browser contacts Google's servers directly and Google may receive your IP address and browser information. Cedar does not receive that data.
Photographs of clients
Images in the galleries are genuine Cedar work. If you would prefer a photograph of your hair not to appear on the website or on social media, tell Cedar and it will be removed.
Contacting Cedar about your information
To ask what Cedar holds, request a correction, or ask for your details or photographs to be deleted, contact 082 463 1177 or message on WhatsApp. The salon address is The Zen Den, 38 Gardner, Risiville Small Farms, Vereeniging, Gauteng, South Africa.
