Every colour appointment at Cedar begins with a conversation. Ilse looks at your natural base, the colour already in your hair, its condition and the way you wear it day to day, then suggests the approach that will look best and stay wearable as it grows out. Because the salon is one-on-one, there is time to talk it through properly before anything is mixed.

Cedar works healthy-hair-first. If your hair needs conditioning or strengthening before a bigger change, that will be said honestly, and the colour may be staged over more than one visit rather than pushed through in a single day.

Colour services offered

• Balayage — from R420. Hand-painted lightening for a soft, grown-out root and a natural finish.
• Full tint (1 colour) — from R420. A single, even colour from root to end.
• Multi tint with foils — from R450. Depth and brightness combined in one appointment.
• Root tint — R380 (1 colour), or from R400 with foils and no toner.
• Full head foils + toner — from R400, or half head foils + toner from R330.
• Toner — from R150. Refreshes tone between colour appointments.
• Gents colour — R300.
• Extensions & colour consultation — price on enquiry, quoted after a personal consultation.

How hair-length pricing works

Colour is priced in four bands — short, medium, long and extra long — because longer, denser hair needs more product and more time. Prices may also vary according to thickness, condition and the amount of product required, so Cedar confirms your final service and price with you before starting.
